A new gelato and coffee shop opened in Downtown Green Bay | Streetwise

GREEN BAY — Downtown residents and visitors can now cool off at a new coffee and gelato shop.

opened its second location at 401 N. Washington St., Suite 109, Wednesday. Mohamed Gaballa, a co-owner of the store said they decided to have a soft opening this week to prepare for the official opening date.

"We wanted to give people a try and make sure everything will be ready for 4th of July," Gaballa said.

Gaballa signed a 2-year lease for the downtown location in March. The first Java Cream opened at 571 Swan Road in Ledgeview in 2020. He also owns Mad Chicken, which is located nearby on South Washington Street.

The soft opening was announced with a Facebook Monday.

"We are happy, many people from Schreiber, Associated Bank and other places came," Gaballa said.

There are at least 12 flavors of gelato, as well as smoothies and coffee drinks at Java Cream.

Java Cream offers espressos, lattes, other Italian-inspired hot coffee drinks and javaccinos, and iced variations of espresso drinks in flavors like mocha, vanilla caramel and cookies and cream. There are also shakes, smoothies, tea and 12 flavors of gelato.

The store will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
